UPN "Veteran" East Java is currently constructing several buildings, such as the addition of lecture halls or the construction of laboratories. The density of the campus area with thousands of students around the construction project makes the risk of danger high. Several cases of students slipping and tripping in the construction area due to scattered building materials, making the application of safety signs need to be considered. This study aims to determine how necessary safety signs are for work safety on the UPN "Veteran" East Java construction project. Where the population used in this activity is students with a sample size of 30 people. The methods used are statistical methods of the ANOVA test, Ergonomic Checklist, and Questionnaire of understanding of safety signs. The results of data processing concluded that the application of OHS signs is needed, especially signs of danger of falling goods, tripping warnings, slipping warnings, and slippery floor warnings</p> Mega Cattleya Prameswari Annissaa Islami, Rizqi Novita Sari, Sinta Dewi Copyright (c) 2023 Mega Cattleya Prameswari Annissaa Islami, Rizqi Novita Sari, Sinta Dewi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/85 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Inventory Control Analysis Using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) in the Pekalongan Batik Industry https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/84 <p>One of the economic sectors that is able to provide a significant increase in Indonesia's economic growth is MSMEs, which operate in the creative industry sector. On the other hand, MSMEs are a business sector that is often faced with uncertainty. One of the batik MSMEs in Pekalongan was forced to face post-disruption effects such as a pandemic, which had an impact on decreasing demand and increasing supply. Therefore, strategies are needed to remain competitive in the market, one of which is inventory management. The EOQ model is used in this research to minimize raw material inventory costs by determining the economical order quantity (Q) in one of the Pekalongan batik industries. The results of this research provide a concrete reference for MSMEs to plan their supply of fabric raw materials, starting from determining order frequency, reorder points, and safety stock. The optimal order quantity for MSME raw materials is 10,189 meters, with an order frequency of 35 times in the planning horizon. The safety stock level that must be prepared is 3,988 meters, and the reorder point is 6,362 meters to meet demand during lead time. Through the proposed inventory planning, MSMEs can save inventory costs and allocate resources for other purposes.</p> Famila Dwi Winati, Titi Indarwati Copyright (c) 2023 Famila Dwi Winati, Titi Indarwati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/84 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Analysis of pH Regulation on the Ca/P Ratio of Green Mussel Shell Hydroxyapatite using the Sol-Gel Method https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/83 <p>Kandungan kalsium karbonat dari cangkang kerang hijau dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu material. This mineral has a hardness of 1.5 to 2 Mohs. <em>Struvite</em> is easily soluble under acidic conditions and slightly soluble under neutral and alkaline conditions. In industry, <em>struvite</em> is found in the crust of pipes through which hot fluids pass. <em>Struvite</em> is often used as fertilizer because of its phosphate content. The formation of <em>struvite</em> minerals (hereinafter MAP) from laundry waste water is carried out using an aeration tank. MAP solution is made by reacting laundry waste water with Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4) and Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH). The MAP ratio was set at 1:1:1 with a temperature of 20 - 40 oC and an air flow rate of 0.5 - 1.5 liters per minute. The best results were at a temperature of 25oC with an air flow rate of 1 (Liter / minute) with a magnesium content of 10% and phosphorus of 42%.</p> Sutiyono, Luluk Edahwati, Indah Nur Fauziyah, Lusy Larasati A Copyright (c) 2023 Sutiyono, Luluk Edahwati, Indah Nur Fauziyah, Lusy Larasati A https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/87 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 The Capstone Design of Solar Farm for Alternative Energy https://biomej.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/biomej/article/view/88 <p>The capstone design integrates advanced technologies to optimize energy capture, storage, and transmission, addressing key challenges in traditional solar farm configurations. Particularly in the automotive industry has encouraged the development of the automotive industry, especially in four-wheeled vehicles or also known as cars. Given the number of vehicles that are still quite a lot, maintenance, care and repair must be carried out for the smooth running of the car's work process so that the car's work process runs smoothly. One of them is the system of car washing. In the process of washing a car, the uses of human power (manual) still predominant. This automatic car wash system is the perfect solution to save time and effort. Based on this, a designed small-scale sensor based semi-automatic car wash miniature was made. Supporting components are needed so that the automatic car wash system can work according to the desired design, including Ultrasonic sensors, DC motors, dynamo motors, Water Pumps, 12V fans. The main objective of this simulation is the development of criteria to design and build a car wash of this type-high real way to solve the challenges of automation. The research results show that the proposed method is in process control not only increases productivity, speed, accuracy and safety, but also reduces the time and cost of washing dynamic vehicle models.</p> E.
